Scope of Responsibilities
Mark is an independent corporate real estate consultant and a licensed real estate sales person in New Jersey and Pennsylvania (licensed through Arrow Real Estate Services, LLC). His primary role is the representation of national and regional retailers and service providers in their local Philadelphia and New Jersey market expansions and the coordination of their US expansion strategies. He offers added value real estate services including strategic real estate market expansion planning, trade area store deployment analysis, site selection, corporate real estate management and organizational consulting and commercial deal negotiations. He works with both tenants and landlords on the leasing of retail shopping center space in strips centers, lifestyle centers and malls as well as the leasing and purchasing of investment grade commercial real estate properties.
Mark is a knowledgeable and experienced real estate investment consultant, works with both investment buyers and sellers of investment grade real estate properties and assists with the acquisition and disposition of commercial multi-family, retail and residential investment properties. He offers real estate services which include property survey and assessment, financial deal analysis, marketing and provides property investment strategy direction and management.
Background & Experience
Mark brings over 35 years experience as a corporate retail real estate executive and manager, overseeing real estate dealmaking, strategy, store design and store construction departments with companies including the Ascena Retail Group, Catherines, Five Below, Spencer Gifts and Aerosoles. Mark was also a key deal maker and directed regional and national real estate activity as a member of the store expansion teams at CarMax, Circuit City, Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Blockbuster, Zany Brainy and Brookstone. Mark has performed site selection and deal negotiation on over 450 retail store purchase and lease transactions in virtually every major and secondary market in the US and Puerto Rico. He has opened retail stores in shopping center venues including lifestyle centers, neighborhood center, strip/power centers, regional malls, outlet centers and urban street locations. In addition to representing tenants he has also worked with landlords in the design, development and leasing of their rental properties and has extensive experience in the disposition and sale of commercial retail surplus properties.
Mark is an active real estate investor and has represented both residential and commercial real estate investment buyers and sellers in the acquisition of both rental and redevelopment properties. He has specific expertise and experience in the analysis of commercial and residential real estate properties, deal negotiation, property valuations, real estate transactional processing and documentation. He also works with senior citizens and their families in the evaluation of the senior housing services and is an active developer of Residential Assisted Living housing in New Jersey.
